Medeiros Vendramini, Claudette Maria; Moreira da Silva, Flávia Cristina; [email protected] (Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC), 2014-08-27)
This study aimed to verify the validity evidences of the electronic scale of attitudes towards statistics eSATSportuguês through Rasch model. A sample of 137 Brazilian students, selected for convenience, participated in this study. They were aged 20-55 (M=28.71; DP=7.77), 79.6% female, enrolled in the last semester from graduation courses of a private university in São Paulo state, and had already attended a Statistics subject. The participants answered the 28-item, 7-point Likert-type scale, in computer laboratories. The results indicated a good fit of the items to Rasch model, and the scale’s good psychometric properties, making it a good instrument to measure the construct attitude. The sample’s average attitude towards statistics was more positive rather than negative.

Cooperative learning is one of the main medicines in education: the student takes an active role in their own learning process. Methodological issues are very important within university, since the development project of the European Higher Education Area proposes very profound changes in the educational paradigm, changes in the role of teachers and students inside and outside the classroom. To give force to this argument, the implementation of Cooperative Learning Questionnaire Arellano, Navarro and Sosa (2007) was taken to 692 students enrolled in first grade of primary education in 2010-2011. The sample coincides with the universe of freshmen in the Bachelor of Primary Education, comprising 87% of women with a mean age of 19 years, which yielded an index of 0.83 for internal consistency of the instrument. The results point to the importance of strengthening cooperative learning in university classrooms, given that there are few occasions when they can put into play.

The aim of the Musical Training Revolution is to take advantage of the modern educational technology tools, to apply them to the auditory training in a professional music training program. In this paper, the experience of transforming the classroom course in Leveling in Reading and Ear Training is presented, from a university undergraduate Music, to a b-learning mode. b-learning mode of this course is set on a virtual classroom on the Moodle platform. Online work within this virtual classroom included communication forums, academic forums, ear training self-instructive resources and academic tasks. The working strategy of on-line courses considered several aspects: 1) Structure of the virtual classroom. 2) Communication within the virtual classroom. 3) Managing the virtual classroom. 4) Create and organize content. 5) Provide an online study methodology. 6) Design and implementation of online activities. 7) Rate of online activities. 8) Evaluation of the whole process. The results of this experience forced us to rethink the contents of the same course at the following levels due to the substantial progress made.

The present research project entitled the method and its effect on learning of general statistics course for undergraduates César Vallejo University-Lima Subsidiaria, 2010-II, the aim of determining the effect of the project-based method in learning general statistics course for undergraduate students. Research regarding its methodology is descriptive-explanatory method and ex post facto correlational design. For data collection a questionnaire applies to students who collects feedback on the study variables. In relation to the sample, this is a statistically representative sample consisted of 100 students of vocational schools Environmental Engineering, Accounting and Psychology. For data processing software was used SPSS version 19. Among the most important conclusions we can say that the implementation of the project-based method has positive effect on learning of descriptive statistics, probability and statistical inference, thereby accepting the general hypothesis, "The application of project-based method has positive effect learning in general statistics course for undergraduates".

Motivation is a methodological vehicle that must necessarily be implemented in the triad system called teaching-learning-university development. This, the motivation, cannot be reduced to some minutes at the beginning of the classes or to the development of a particular topic. Neither focuses on capturing the attention of students for a few minutes. The process of motivation is much more complex and starts from the conception of the course and then the design of the same. The motivation is not only directed at the cognition of the students. It has, rather, a high emotional component, as well as a great relationship with the role of the teacher, both within and outside the classroom. This is why the role of the teacher of these times should focus mainly on "induce and cause grounds in their students". That is to say, to motivate them.
