El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo principal analizar la manifestación del miedo en la narrativa audiovisual de la saga de películas de It, y cómo es que el miedo puede contribuir a generar empatía con el espectador. Para tales objetivos, la investigación revisa bibliografía pertinente de grandes teóricos de la narrativa audiovisual como MCkee, Seger Vogler y Campbell, sobre el miedo y la "empatía dirigida". El estudio es de enfoque cualitativo y de paradigma interpretativo. Los instrumentos de investigación son el análisis de contenido y la entrevista semiestructurada. En primer lugar, se analiza el contenido de las películas para determinar la trayectoria del miedo, arquetipos recurrentes y las estrategias narrativas para manifestar miedo. Por último, se analiza a través de entrevistas semiestructuradas a un grupo de ocho fanáticos de la saga para evaluar su percepción con respecto a la manifestación del miedo en la narrativa audiovisual.The main objective of this research work is to analyze the manifestation of fear in the audiovisual narrative of the It film saga, and how fear can contribute to generating empathy with the viewer. For these purposes, the research reviews pertinent bibliography of great audiovisual narrative theorists such as MCkee, Seger Vogler and Campbell, on fear and "directed empathy". The study has a qualitative approach and an interpretive paradigm. The research instruments are the content analysis and the semi-structured interview. First, the content of the films is analyzed to determine the trajectory of fear, recurring archetypes, and narrative strategies to express fear. Finally, a group of eight fans of the saga is analyzed through semi-structured interviews to evaluate their perception regarding the manifestation of fear in the audiovisual narrative.
