Construction of intimacy in investigative journalism on television related to police affairs. The case of Alicia Delgado and Abencia Meza in the programs Día D and Punto Final in October 2009Resumen
This investigation has as its starting point the observation of a specific case: the murder of the folk singer Alicia Delgado and her relationship with Abencia Meza. Between 2009 and 2010, this was a highly mediatized case on Peruvian television, which highlighted the phenomenon of the construction of the intimate journalistic story related to police events. This investigation addresses the way in which intimacy is incorporated into the police story, specifically on television. To this end, this research develops a conceptual framework focused on journalistic reporting and television language, an overview of television in Peru, an analysis of Sunday television reports taking into account these concepts, and lastly an interpretation of these findings.
