El presente trabajo de investigación identifica y describe las dimensiones de los personajes presentes dentro de las series de animación infantil: Rugrats y Clarence con el fin de señalar como ha sido la evolución de los estereotipos de género presentes en estas series animadas. Se eligieron los primeros capítulos de las primeras temporadas de ambos programas de televisión con el fin de tener una aproximación al primer contacto que el público infantil de cada época tuvo con estas series. La metodología empleada para conseguir dicho propósito corresponde al formato de teoría fundamentada, así mismo la técnica empleada es la de revisión documental.This research identifies and describes the dimensions of the characters present in the children's animation series: Rugrats and Clarence in order to indicate the evolution of the gender stereotypes present in these animated series. The first chapters of the first seasons of both television programs were chosen in order to have an approach to the first contact that the children's audience of each era had with these series. The methodology used to achieve this purpose corresponds to the grounded theory format, and the technique used is documentary review.
