This is a career course of Information Systems Engineering program, it is a course of theory and practice for tenth cycle students which is organized in five units. In the first two units it is covered the main concepts of quality management and quality management systems, in the next two units the information systems and how quality is managed in each stage of their life cycle are studied, finally in the last unit, the main frameworks for information technology service management are reviewed through the lens of quality management. The general competency of written communication and specific competency of Reconoce la necesidad de mantener sus conocimientos actualizados, according to ABET-Student Outcome (i), are developed in this course. The course is based on applying quality concepts, standards and models to each stage of information systems life cycle, particularly to planning, developing and using them. In each of these stages there will be studied knowledge, tools and techniques which form the best practices related to quality management.Type
