This research aimed to describe the relationship between anxiety-trait and mobile phone problem use in psychology students of a private university. For that, the Mobile Phone Problem Use Scale and Trait-Anxiety Scale of the STAI, were applied in a sample of 156 college students who had certain inclusion criteria: be over eighteen years old, to be in between the first and sixth semester, don’t have a job and to have a smartphone. Among the results, it was found a significant and positive relationship between the two variables, indicating that the more mobile phone problem use, the greater the strait-anxiety of people. This means that, cellphone problem use is involved in some level of anxiety in people.
